About this Event
324 Boyer Ave., Walla Walla, WA
With U.S.-China relations deteriorating, it seems like a good time to ask this question, again. It was first raised in a famous essay by a Chinese high school in 1968 at the height of the Cultural Revolution, and again during the Democracy Movement in 1989. In this informal talk, Professor McKhann will address timely issues of mutual concern to Chinese and American citizens through the lens of his 40-year career as an anthropologist in southwest China.
