The City's new Neighborhood Engagement Program is a city-wide initiative aimed to help Walla Walla residents come together and collectively contribute to the well-being of the street, block, or broader community in which they live. The program offers community partners financial, logistical, and personnel resources to help address the issues that they themselves have chosen to identify and prioritize, from bullying in schools and alley lighting to neighborhood block parties and disaster preparedness.
Cameron Conner has spearheaded this initiative for Walla Walla Mayor Barbara Clark and is looking to engage Whitman students in this work by continuing the implementation and development of the initiative.
The idea is simple: when people are part of a strong community, they lead safer, healthier, and happier lives. Come find out how you can help make that happen!
