The Walla Walla Symphony is the longest continually operating symphony orchestra west of the Mississippi and has been celebrating great music since 1907. The following 2025–2026 Symphony events will take place at Cordiner Hall on the campus of Whitman College.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

    The Planets
    Discover a new season of music with Gustav Holst’s The Planets, performed alongside works by living composers that bring new ideas and perspectives to the concert hall.

  • Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.

    Quartetto Gelato
    Quartetto Gelato combines classical music with folk, jazz, and global styles to create lively, memorable performances that are full of personality and fun to watch.

  • Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.

    Strings of Passion
    Violinist Lara St. John and the Walla Walla Symphony bring three powerful works to the stage for the first time — including Tchaikovsky’s Sixth and Barber’s Violin Concerto.

  • Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.

    Heartbeat
    Celebrate the bold spirit of Latin American and Afro-Cuban music in a vibrant program featuring guest ensemble OKAN.

  • Tuesday, March 17 at 7 p.m.

    Journeys
    Explore music shaped by story and place, from Christian Colberg’s Viola Concerto, inspired by the story of “Don Quixote”, to Mendelssohn’s “Scottish” Symphony.

  • Friday, April 24, 2025, at 7 p.m.

    The Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience
    Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven get a bold remix in this high-energy mashup of classical music and hip-hop that's part concert, part club night, and all fun. This show contains explicit language.

  • Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m.

    Colors Ignited
    End the season with music full of character, from Stravinsky’s Petrushka to a new take on a Bach favorite.
