Come join LGBTQIA+ Student Services on Oct 11, 2022 from 4 pm to 6 pm to celebrate National Coming Out day. As we move away from the concept of “coming out” and forego the assumption of heteronormativity as the default, we invite students to share an artistic performance of some kind– speaking to their own experience(s) with queerness. We recognize that students are navigating different levels of outness and want to reassure that sharing is not mandatory. Students are welcomed to come hang out and listen, but we want to encourage the Whitman community to be mindful of LGBTQIA+ identifying students sharing their experiences.
