Rachel Meeropol, an attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights in NYC, will be at Whitman as a Visiting Educator in Law.
Rachel will talk about recent attempts by energy companies represented by Trump’s go-to law firm to suppress environmental speech and advocacy as “racketeering” and “terrorism.” She’ll also describe her work fighting the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, a federal criminal law aimed at animal rights activists, and about State laws which shield big agriculture and other polluters from whistle-blowing and undercover investigations.
