Northwest Public Broadcasting and Whitman College Native American Outreach present a special preview of the new Ken Burns documentary, The American Revolution, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 6 PM in the Reid Campus Center Ballroom. This screening will feature discussion on Tribal Sovereignty and a conversation with local community members including Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation Executive Director J.D. Tovey and Whitman College Šináata Scholar Joel Satterwhite. The event is free and open to the public; doors open at 5:30 pm. The evening kicks off the  annual Whitman College Fall First Foods Festival, which is Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 AM - 5 PM in the Reid Campus Center Ballroom.
