The Sweet Onion Crank is an annual climbing competition held each April at the Whitman College Climbing Center. This year’s event will take place from April 11-30, 2021. It is FREE! Just reserve an “open climb” reservation time and come in and get a scorecard at the front desk. You can do all the climbs in one session or over multiple days. That is up to you. Climb 5 boulder problems and turn in your scorecard to get a FREE T-SHIRT while supplies last. Your scorecard will also be entered into a raffle at the end of April to be eligible for lots of wonderful climbing gear prizes from sponsors. Categories: Recreational, Advanced & Open. Many people don’t take the “competition” part too seriously and mainly come to try out all the fun new routes and be eligible for shirts and prizes.
