This two-hour clinic is for anyone interested in becoming a bouldering or vertical route setter. The first portion will cover all the basics you need to know to set bouldering routes at the Whitman Climbing Center. The last portion will teach the special systems and safety considerations necessary for vertical route setting. If you have already taken the boulder route setting clinic, you can just come for the vertical route setting portion, or if you just want to learn to set bouldering problems, you can leave early. You must also pass a vertical systems proficiency test at the end of the vertical route setters clinic to do any roped systems work at the Climbing Center.
