This two-hour clinic is designed for people who want to learn how to top rope, climb, and belay. You will first learn how to tie into a harness and belay using the PBUS belay method, which is the preferred belay method at the Whitman College Climbing Center. You will practice climbing and belaying (with a backup belayer) for the remainder of the clinic and get ready to take a proficiency test the next time they are offered.
