About this Event
Adamant that your favorite characters are queer? You’re probably not wrong.
Starting on January 18th from 7:30 pm-8:45 pm at the GAC, we will be hosting weekly discussions on all things pop culture and queer. Whether it is canon, fanon, or scientifically impossible to be het (I’m looking at you swifties) we want to hear you, build community, and convince you why Wednesday and Enid are soulmates!
Queer coding can be defined
as
the subtextual coding of a character in the media as queer even if the character’s sexual identity is not explicitly confirmed
.
Such coding is recognizable to the audience through the use of traits and stereotypes.
