Queer Coded

Adamant that your favorite characters are queer? You’re probably not wrong.

Every Friday from 4PM to 5PM in Reid 207, we will be hosting weekly discussions on all things pop culture and queer. Whether it is canon, fanon, or anything in between, we want to hear you, build community, and convince you why Wednesday and Enid are soulmates!

For those still questioning what this all means, queer coding can be defined as the subtextual coding of a character in the media as queer even if the character’s sexual identity is not explicitly confirmed. Such coding is recognizable to the audience through the use of traits and stereotypes.
