We invite you to join the Whitman College Debate Team and the Outdoor Program for a public debate on the topic: "Outdoor Program trips should be accessible to all Whitman students"
Whitman Debaters will be teaming up with Outdoor Program Leaders to present to you an engaging debate on the current state of accessibility within the Outdoor Program, as well as tangible steps for improvement.
The event will take place Thursday, December 1 at 4:00 PM in Reid Campus Center G02.
The conversation will discuss key issues surrounding accessibility in the outdoors such as: Universal Design, Concrete Policy Options, Reasonable Accommodations, Trip Descriptions, and Training.
There will be several opportunities for the audience to directly participate in debate as well as determine the outcome of what will be discussed in the final speeches! Don't miss this unique opportunity to join the debate and continue the dialog surrounding accessibility at Whitman College.
