About this Event
The term neurodiversity has recently been receiving national and international attention as our world shifts towards valuing many aspects of humans’ identities, and many educators are eager to understand how to best support a wide range of learners both in and outside the classroom. This presentation will focus on the concept of neurodiversity, or diversity of the mind. Attendees will learn to differentiate between neurodiversity and neurodivergence, as well as take a quick dive into three neurodivergent profiles: LDs, ADHD, and autism. After a brief overview of these terms, the presentation will shift into behavioral connections and implementable strategies to support neurodivergent students. The presentation will culminate in a short Q&A session.
