DESCRIPTION:The Northwest ADA Center (NWADA) is pleased to offer a series o
 f virtual trainings to members of the Whitman College community.\n\nThis c
 ourse defines disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) a
 nd provides an overview of employment rights and responsibilities. Key con
 cepts include reasonable accommodations\, effective communication\, essent
 ial job functions\, and medical documentation. In addition\, we discuss se
 rvice animals in the\n\nemployment context and non-discriminatory hiring p
 ractices.\n\n \n\nLength: 60 minutes\n\n \n\nThis will be the third and fi
 nal training offered this semester (with Session 1 ‘ADA Foundations’ h
 aving been offered on April 11\, and Session 2 ‘Service Animals’ havin
