About this Event
Please join the Office of Fellowships and Grants to learn more about three nationally competitive post-graduate fellowship programs: the Princeton in Asia, Princeton in Africa, and Princeton in Latin America. Office Director Keith Raether will give an overview of each program; please review the websites listed below and come to the session with questions.
This information session will introduce and explore the three Princeton Fellowship programs, which in operation resemble extended internships in various parts of the world. Each of the three programs has distinct elements beyond their geographical outlines. We'll talk about opportunities in each program and the application requirements and process common to all three.
Princeton in Asia
https://piaweb.princeton.edu/
The goal of the Princeton in Asia program is to foster cross-cultural understanding between East and West by giving newly-minted graduates various opportunities to live and work in Asia. PIA offers full-year, service-oriented posts in education, international development (non-governmental organizations), journalism and business. A majority of fellows work as English teachers at universities and high schools.
Princeton in Africa
https://www.princetoninafrica.org/about-piaf/
PIAF offers yearlong fellowship opportunities with a variety of organizations across the African continent. PIAF fellows work in service-oriented positions in humanitarian aid, public health, conservation, education and social enterprise.
Princeton in Latin America
https://www.pila-princeton.org/
PiLA partners with non-governmental organizations and community, government and multilateral organizations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean to supply them with highly qualified recent college graduates. Fellows commit to a full-year service fellowship with PILA partners.
