Prior to the First Foods Station Lunch, the Live Talk session will be a book signing event with Whitman College Pasxapa Elders Advisory Council for Education member Eugena Stacona, EdD. This book signing event will be from 11:00-11:30 AM, starting with a brief talk from Eugena and then she will sign and sell her book called "The Ancient Promise: a Umatilla Tale of the First Foods". This is a children's book, good for a table top book anywhere and also an excellent HIGH IMPACT resource for college classes offering nuanced, concise, and visual explorations of complex topics like sociology, psychology, literature, religion, and education. Such books can help with analyzing systemic issues and critical analysis in education.
