Ben Gilbert is an applied microeconomist who studies the relationship between public policy, energy and natural resource markets. His research addresses problems in energy supply, energy efficiency, marine resources, regulation, firm and industrial organization, and the housing market. Dr. Gilbert has a BA in Economics and English from Whitman College and a Ph.D. in Economics from UC San Diego. He is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at Colorado School of Mines.
