About AIT:
Tailored to the needs of North American computer science and software engineering undergraduates in their sophomore through senior years, AIT offers semester-long programs.
The program is made up of 3 course groups, each containing several different course offerings:
· Foundational Courses in Computer Science
· Computing Elective Courses
· Humanities Courses Related to Hungary’s Rich Cultural Heritage
All classes are conducted in English at AIT’s modern campus, situated along the scenic Danube River in Budapest. Students will live in vibrant neighborhoods, with plenty of opportunities to engage with Hungarian students, explore Hungary, and travel around Europe.
AIT is small and friendly, with typical class sizes of 10-15 students. Recent U.S. students have come from Yale, Brown, MIT, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvey Mudd, Princeton, Williams, Mt. Holyoke, and Amherst among several others. The program also includes a number of Hungarian students. AIT’s partner schools: http://www.ait-budapest.com/ait-alumni
AIT is also offering a semester-long Research Abroad program. This program includes 12 credits of research in computer science, as well as 4-8 credits of coursework from AIT’s broad course offerings. Students in this track will work closely with a designated research supervisor and their team at one of Budapest’s leading universities. Additionally, they’ll be part of the AIT international community and will have access to all academic and extracurricular events and services. You can find more information on the Research Abroad program here.
