Please join the Student Engagement Center for an informational breakfast about the 2019-20 Community Fellow Program. RSVP here if you are planning on attending.
The Community Fellow Program provides extraordinary opportunities for not-for-profit and local, state, and federal government agencies with offices in the Walla Walla Valley to work with a third or fourth year Whitman student for an entire academic year (September - May) on a substantive project that addresses social, economic or cultural challenges. Student Fellows are paid for their work by Whitman and work about 160 hours over the course of the 2019-20 academic year.
This year, up to twelve organizations will be selected for the program. Please note that organizations wishing to apply for the program must be public agencies or not-for-profit organizations (with preference given to 501(c) 3 not-for-profits), and must be based in the Walla Walla Valley region. No religious congregations, partisan-affiliated organizations, or for-profit organizations are eligible for this program. Projects for consideration must be open to all students and all genders.
