Even if we get serious about fighting climate change, it’s clear that we will need to adapt to the changes already underway in our environment. In his work, Matt considers how individual economic choices in response to climate change will transform the larger economy.
Matt Kahn is a Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California. His research focuses on urban and environmental economics. He is the author of several books including Green Cities: Urban Growth and the Environment (2006), Climatopolis (2010), Blue Skies over Beijing: Economic Growth and the Environment in China (2016; joint with Siqi Zheng), Adapting to Climate Change (2021) and Unlocking the Potential of Post Industrial Cities (2021; joint with Mac McComas).
