Bridging the Gap, a project by AmyHeistuman, brings together studentsto promote conversation acrossdifferent backgrounds, experiences,and beliefs.The event will begin with a speech from ErinJones, Former Candidate for State Superintendent,where she will speak about diversity, inclusion andthe need to build bridges between people ofdifferent backgrounds to heal and bring aboutchange in our world.After the speech there will be round tables set upwith different social and political topics to focusconversations. Our political and social views oftendetermine the composition of our social networks.This project's goal is to open the pathwaysbetween different groups to broaden theirnetworks and perspectives on the world aroundthem, bringing more empathy and compassionwith more focus to our own community.
