Arthur G. Rempel Lecture in Biology. "Mending a Broken Heart: Recent innovations in cardiac regeneration, diagnosis and therapy.”

 The Arthur G. Rempel Lecture is an annual endowed lectureship than honors the late Professor Art Rempel, who taught Biology at Whitman for almost 40 years. The speaker this year will be Dr. DeLisa Fairweather, Associate Professor of Medicine and the Director of Translational Research for the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. Her talk,  "Mending a Broken Heart: Recent innovations in cardiac regeneration, diagnosis and therapy.”, will discuss sex differences in disease, and new therapies for cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases.  Free and open to the public.
