Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries is an Associate Professor in the History Department at The Ohio State University. His talk explores the myths and realities surrounding American slavery, why we as a nation find it so difficult to talk about slavery honestly, and what we as a nation can do to address the "hard history" of our past accurately and effectively.
