Gabrielle Calvocoressi is the author of The Last Time I Saw Amelia Earhart and Apocalyptic Swing, which was a finalist for the LA Times Book Prize. Her poems have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Boston Review and POETRY, and other places. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships including, a Stegner Fellowship and Jones Lectureship in Poetry from Stanford University, a Rona Jaffe Woman Writers Award, a Civitella di Ranieri residency, and a Lannan Foundation residency in Marfa, TX. She is the Walker Percy Fellow/Assistant Professor of Poetry at UNC Chapel Hill. She also teaches in the low-residency MFA program at the Warren Wilson Program for Writers. In addition to writing poems she is working on a non-fiction project about suicide and her mother. She is the Senior Poetry Editor for Los Angeles Review of Books.
