In partnership with Heritage University in Toppenish, WA, Whitman College students have the opportunity to participate in a unique month-long digital story-telling initiative in June 2018 called the Rural American Digital (RAD) Lab. With guidance from a Seattle-based tech start-up called Pop Up Justice, student participants will bring to light often-ignored or forgotten stories of the non-urban part of Washington state.
The initiative will be open to up to 12 Whitman students and 12 Heritage students. Members of the cohort will spend time on both campuses, enjoy broad exposure to faculty and staff from both institutions, and work together to create a digital story about our place.
Applications are due on Friday, February 2. You can find the application here: https://www.whitman.edu/student-life/student-engagement-center/internships/radlab
